TV series Poldark, Doc Martin and Rosamunde Pilcher are all filmed within the county and key locations are within driving distance of our door.  We’re so close to many that we regularly play host to the crews and cast tasked with filming and producing the series.

Port Isaac, or Port Quinn as Doc Martin fans will know it as, is just a 20 minute drive from the St Moritz Hotel and Bodmin Moor is 40 minutes away- the location of many scenes in the BBC’s Poldark.  More about its locations can be found here.

GETTING TO AND FROM THE ST MORITZ HOTEL

BY PLANE

Flying to and from Cornwall has never been easier. Direct flights to Cornwall Airport (Newquay) from US cities via Heathrow, Manchester or Dublin means that international visitors can make a direct journey to and from home. Getting to and from Cornwall airport is straight forward too. We can arrange for a pick-up or drop-off via car transfer providing peace of mind and ease.

Book flights from Boston, New York and Chicago to Cornwall via London with Virgin Atlantic, or via Dublin with Aer Lingus  

BY TRAIN

Getting to the St Moritz Hotel by train is an easy and fuss free option.  From London trains run daily from London Paddington straight through to Bodmin Parkway and takes around 4 hours.  Trains have WiFi, charging points, a snack bar and toilets. Upon arrival we can then arrange for a taxi transfer to St Moritz which takes around 30 minutes. Alternatively the overnight sleeper train offers an alternative travel experience.  Tickets can be booked via the GWR website here.
