A Cornwall Family Break at St Moritz - St Moritz Hotel

Instagrammer and busy mum of two Shell Mills (@Shellandthelittlies) came to stay at St Moritz as our guest with her brood over a slightly cloudy weekend in June for a Cornwall family break. They explored the beach, indulged in the spa, enjoyed some yummy food in the Shorecrest restaurant and swam in the pool. Her verdict? Take a look below.

As a busy mum of two and a Instagram blogger showcasing all that’s wonderful about raising a family in Cornwall, Shell knows a thing or two about family holidays. Living in Cornwall and having lots of family holiday options on the doorstep is not something Shell takes for granted and so when we invited her and her family to stay at St Moritz to sample a Cornwall family break with us, she not only jumped at the chance but also found the time to showcase what a fabulous holiday destination we are for families of all ages!

I’ve put a video together of our wonderful stay @stmoritzhotel so please go have a watch on our new YouTube channel! The link in stories! Please subscribe for more of our adventures!? I can honestly say the staff couldn’t have gone more out of their way to make our stay special. The family friendly rooms are spacious and the @cowshed toiletries and hair straighteners were a win for me along with the power shower of dreams! ? Rocco loved sleeping on the bottom bunk ? and a cot with child’s blankets was provided for Valli. The attached garden room was lovely to be able to sit in and read overlooking the gardens when the Littlies had gone to sleep. The food was on par with some of the Michelin Starred Restaurants we’ve dined in without feeling pretentious. The Littlies were well looked after from bringing their meals our first so we could then relax and eat our own to making them hot milk for their beakers and porridge at breakfast the next morning. We made full use of the leisure facilities. It’s great there’s both indoor and outdoor pools so you have things to do if weather isn’t great and the Littlies loved the toy room! Rock, Padstow and Polzeath are a short drive away and there’s some stunning coast path walks to take in those views! This is a wonderful Art Deco inspired family friendly hotel but still feels like a treat for us parents! After our treatments @cowshed Spa we felt utterly relaxed and pampered so a big Thankyou to all the staff we’d love to come back soon! Our nights stay @stmoritzhotel was kindly gifted but all views are our own. #stmoritzhotel • • • • • #familyfriendlyhotel #explorecornwall #exploretheuk #staycations #ukholiday #escapetocornwall #lovecornwalluk #cornishlife #lovecornwall #luxurytravels #kidstravel #familytravels #familyholidays #familytravelblog #minibreaks #polzeath #daymerbay #padstow #pblogger #pbloggersuk #ukparentbloggers #lifestyleblogger #uktravel #travelbloggers #cowshedspa #finefood #lbloggersuk #littlefamiliesofig

Shell also found the time to create a video of their stay which can be viewed below during which the family sample food from our Sea Side cafe, splash in our pool, explore the beach huts and give us a tour of their Family Garden Suite.

The final verdict from Shell?

“It’s the perfect combination of child friendly while still feeling like a treat!  The staff could not have been more hospitable and have gone the extra mile to make our stay perfect.  We had a beautiful lunch of Cornish mussels and fish cakes in the Sea Side Cafe followed by ice cream sundaes. The views are stunning you can see right across to Stepper Point which is the end of the estuary by Padstow. Daddy walked along the coast path and down to the nearby beach with Valli at naptime which is a short walk away.  The sun may not have been shining but with all the indoor facilities we’ve not stopped and spent a lovely afternoon at the indoor pool.”
“There is also a fabulous outdoor pool too and lounging area for warmer days with cute beach huts which overlook the sea the Littlies had fun running about by those on the green.   We have also been treated to some treatments at the hotels Cowshed spa! I had the 60 minute Moody Massage which was incredible and so nice to have some time for me! Daddy had his first men’s facial and after his raving review I think he’s fully converted to a bit of pampering himself!  We dined this evening in the Shorecrest Restaurant which was on par with some Michelin starred restaurants with outstanding service. They were great with the Littlies getting their Pasta out to them first so they could eat and then we could relax and enjoy ours! We stayed in a Family Garden Suite which is great as it has a garden room with large doors opening right out to the patio and garden area. “
