For the thirteenth year Newquay will come alive for one of Cornwall’s top food festivals. Nathan Outlaw, BBC Masterchef James Nathan and Head Chef of Rick Stein’s new restaurant, Fergus Coyle, will all be demonstrating.
This year’s event promises to continue the tradition of showcasing rising stars of the culinary world, promote sustainable fishing and boost local businesses during the late summer season.
Friday 11 – Sunday 13 September
Festival season continues in Looe, a beautiful seaside town in south east Cornwall.
From Friday 18 – Sunday 20 September the beach, streets, bars and restaurants of Looe will be filled with festival atmosphere. You won’t find lazy, Sunday summer grooves at Looe Music Festival. Expect an eclectic mix of high energy ‘keep you on the move’ music, delivered back-to-back from either end of the beach and around the harbour plus acts on every street corner. Camping isn’t a prerequisite, visit for the day to sample great food and join in the fun.
The line-up this year includes Jools Holland, The Proclaimers and Johnny Marr.
Friday 18 – Sunday 20 September
The Flicka Foundation currently has over 100 horses, ponies and donkeys at the sanctuary, many of which were rescued from the continent. The Flicka Foundation was, for ten years, a non-profit making organisation. In 2007 they gained charity status; helping their fund raising efforts.
Head to the Flicka Foundation Open Day in Penryn from 12pm to meet the donkeys and horses, go for rides and indulge in a cream tea – all in the name of charity!
Saturday 5 September
